LarryG, The msrp is a guideline and the dealers can set their own price for the car. another thought: Did your build include the interior options?

BTW - Congratulations! Any stories that you have to tell about your experiences driving are welcome.

Dot,

I have seen the difference in MSRP mentioned above on "Window Stickers" while searching the Dealer Connection web site. They don't seem to follow a serial number pattern that I can see (may be build sequence, though) - i.e. lower serial number may have higher MSRP & vice versa. The base price for identical cars in the same dealer's inventory may be different, which would result in different bottom line "sticker" prices. Note that I have not seen the actual cars or window stickers - although they are in my area - just the Internet version. Although it may seem odd to see different but nearly identical cars on the same dealer's lot with different sticker prices, I imagine that the dealer markup may equalize the bottom, bottom line!

I JUST WENT BACK TO FORD'S BUILD AND PRICE AND THOSE THAT WERE 39290 LAST WEEK ARE 41145 NOW IT LOOKS LIKE FORD HAS FOUND THERE ERROR AND RAISED THE PRICE BY $1855 OR $280 MORE THAN WHEN YOU BUILD AND PRICE. SO MUCH FOR THE BARGAIN BIRDS. I HAVE HAD MY NEW BIRD FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS NOW AND CAN'T STOP DRIVING IT. IT IS FANTASTIC. NO PROBLEMS (EXCEPT MAYBE DRIVING A LITTLE TO FAST). BUT OH WHAT FUN IT IS... I SHUR GET A LOT OF LOOKERS.
