It sounded like the commentator said they have made
5,000,000 T-Birds in its 41 year run. Not counting 2002-3
or around 120,000 a year. Was this correct

not hardly ---- he's quite wrong on that. I'll bet Dot has all the production numbers on her site or knows where to get them.

I don't have the production numbers for all years on my site but they reached their millionth back in 1972 and sold quite well in the 80s and early 90s. I just checked one of the latest books out (Thunderbird Chronicles) and I wouldn't be surprised if the 5 millionth mark has been reached. It was close to it by the end of the 97 model year run.

4,331,073 was the total thru 97

someone will have to double check my figures as George will vouch that I'm terrible at adding.

Here's where different sources will show different figures:
These are the figures I used from Thunderbird Chronicles:
55-57 = 53,166
58-60 = 196,191
61-63 = 214,375
64-66 = 236,613
67-71 = 278,578
72-76 = 299,146
77-79 = 955,032
80-82 = 288,638
83-88 = 883,747
89-97 = 925,587

then from Ford
2002 = 31,121

The show was on our Speed Channel. I don't know about
an episode #. Could probably be found on the internet.

Canada bird, the source is not a magazine. It is a TV show on US cable. I found it on an internet search for "Speed Channel" there are search links on the site. The program recently aired, but is not scheduled to air in the near future. I'll check from time to time and try arrange a video tape of the episode.
