There will be a car show at the site of the old Mansfield prison on July 30th. The car coddlers will be putting it on. Registration is from 9-12 and costs $5. Maybe all the TBN members in the area could bring their cars and meet there. The prison is the site of the making of the Shawshank redemption and one other movie. Tours are given 3 times daily. I hope many of us in Ohio, Mich. and maybe even Pa. can make it. You may pm me for more info. I am about 2.5 hrs from there, but am planning to bring a group and come. I hope we can get some response, so that we may do other things in the future.

Sounds good, why don't you get the address and then we can figure a place to meet and all of us get there at the same time.

I'll get an address and post it, but the old mansfield reformatory/prison wouldn't be hard to find. I think the car show is featuring Mercury, but we could change that. 100 Reformatory Rd. Mansfield, OHio

After seeing how many Tbirds owners and TBN members there are in Ohio, We should have no trouble in getting 15-20 of us together for this Mansfield car show. It is pretty centrally located. I will have to drive 2hrs myself to get there. I am primarily going in hopes of meeting some more TBNers.

Ed - Once again I have prior obligations to fulfill - otherwise I'd be looking to caravan over. We go right past there on the way to Ashland to see our daughter, who's in grad school there.
For others; the route # to follow from Rt. 30 is 545 North. This this exit is west of the intersection of 30 and I-71 just a few miles. WLW (BIRDN in OH)

Ed, I don't see any reason not to be there. Do you have a place to meet at? What time?

Alex, I just thought we'd meet right at the prison car show. I'll be driving my 02 tbird Blue bird and will have at least one other with me. Hopefully, John will be there, from Cleveland. Maybe a few others will come. Sorry WLW, maybe we will meet at another function.

Okie Dokie Ed, I'll be there by 10:00 A.M. at the very latest. I've also got about a 2.5 hrs drive also. Will be driving the 05 BEAUTY, MSB, top down of course.

Acebird, will probably not be there until 11. I've been trying to get others to go from this area. I think, my friend will not drive his 57 gray bird, but will bring his 65 Fairlaine in mint cond. I think Jerry will drive his PCR and not his 65 sky blue bird. And I think Francis will drive his bird twin of mine. We will be looking for you. I hope John from Clev. comes too. Ed

Ed, I should know better than to open my mouth without checking with the BOSS. I will not be able to make it, as I have to take the wife, daughter, and granddaughter to my daughter's Company's summer outing at Pioneer Waterland & Dry Fun Park that day.

Okay, John, we'll get together another time. I guess the 65 Fairlaine will not be coming with us either.

Well, we went to the show at the prison today. We took 4 tbirds from this area and met 2 more there. Alex and his 05 Steel Blue came from Dayton and a brand new 04 Red came from Wooster. Took the prison tour(so glad that's not my alma mater) and walked around the car show. Saw some nice and different cars. Went to an Amish eatery and drove home with the tops down. Had a great time and met a couple good guys with a lot of good conversation and exchange of ideas on cars. Well worth the trip. What's next OHIO?

That was a REAL good show! There was a good variety of all makes of cars there.
BUT, what I liked best was we were all leaving in a caravan (I was last in line), I got a real kick of watching just about everybody there watching us leave.
As soon as I can figure out how to do it, I'll post the pictures that I took.

What's next OHIO? How about an Ohio TBN'ers get together sometimes in the fall on a Saturday? Maybe somewhere in central Ohio at a park for a picnic.
Anytime be good for me except the October 15 weekend. I'll be going to Charleston S.C. that weekend.
