hello all, My name is Keith im the owner of 6 02 birds!!!
ive got a N/M, Yellow/yellow/full yellow, black/black/full red, red/red/full red, blue/blue/full blue, and lastly a coral/coral/white. The only bad thing about it is there all 1:18th scale models :( Im a college student that has a part time job and cant afford one, but i do have a long tbird history.
My mom is the original owner of a 1966 saphire blue convertible with white top and interior, she traded in her 1965 blue hardtop thunderbird to get it!! So, its been around in the driveway or garage all my life, when it sat out in the driveway collecting rust, my brother and i refered to it as the "blue car" we didnt know better back then. When my brother and i got older we got dad to send the car to restoration and in 86-88 it went through a nice restoration, body work, paint, top, some minor interior work, engine work, brakes etc. thats what did it for me, in january of 98 i totaled a 97 mustang that i recieved as a highschool graduation present from my grandparents. with the insurance money, i went out looking for the car that i really wanted, a thunderbird, i was orignally looking for a 97 Limited Edition bird, but i couldnt find one for the life of me. so i found a nice black 96 V8 with low miles, for a good price. so i got it, and have loved every mile since. got it with 16k it now has over 100k i replaced the motor over this past summer for a more powerful motor out of a 2000 Mustang GT, boy does this thing get up and go! This is my daily driver and hopefully this will be the last winter that it has to go through, over the summer i plan on getting a winter car for next winter.
