Rick spiked a fever on Friday from a bladder infection after the catheter was removed last Thursday. The antibiotics are take care it, but this little ripple will delay his move to a more intensive rehab facility until the end of this week.
He continues to increase the distances in his wheelchair and walker. He is speaking well and his personality is coming out more & more. He will also receive neuro therapy to assist with his memory and cognition at the new facility.
Still a good ways to go, but continuous prayers have resulted in comingv a long ways from where he was.21 years, 174K miles, 48 States X 2 & DC, 9 Canadian provinces, 8 European countries, 3 Caribbean Islands, 3 Hawaiian Islands, 100+ National Park locations, 150+ T-bird events, 190+ retrobird diecasts/models, 13 TOTM pics & some very special friends...THANKS TBN !Comment

I'm happy to let everyone know that Rick returned home this past Sunday. He's still got a lot of therapy ahead of him, but being at home will make it a lot more tolerable.
God must still have some serious business left for Rick here in this old world. He survived a "widow-maker" heart attack in 2016 and this severe stroke in 2017. There has to be a reason. I believe all of the prayers definitely helped.21 years, 174K miles, 48 States X 2 & DC, 9 Canadian provinces, 8 European countries, 3 Caribbean Islands, 3 Hawaiian Islands, 100+ National Park locations, 150+ T-bird events, 190+ retrobird diecasts/models, 13 TOTM pics & some very special friends...THANKS TBN !Comment
