  • Just in case:

As the easternmost town in Alaska and the closest and most accessible point in Alaska by road to the Lower 48 States, Hyder is a popular place to "collect" Alaska as a travel destination.

          • 80 miles to the Geneva on the Lake (Erie) winery. Top down, great gal that has excited me for 50+ plus years, blue skies, white billowy clouds and the Beach Boys blaring "I get Around", "Little deuce Coupe", "Good Vibrations", etc etc. (Rusty great to have a CD player that works). Wine was great, waves were higher than normal crashing on the rocks and the beach. Can't be a better day.

            • Left Oregon this morning and spending the night in Modesto, California, states 40 and 41. The Inca Gold is slowly picking the 48 states off the list.

The states out here are bigger than New Jersey and Delaware.
