Paul, I mentioned that the last time in Florida wife and I only drove through St. Augustine's on the way to the airport. Mentioned we will drive over and spend a day in your historic city during our stay in March and April. Richard and Gordon expressed a desire to caravan over with us so maybe there are others who would be interested.

Well this might be as good a time as any to see if we can get something going in St. Augustine in late March. We are about 2 hours away on the Gulf and gave St. Augustine a quick tour about 2 years ago and always wanted to go back. Perhaps we could get Ancient Mariner and davisea to show wcoates and Birdlover around the area with a mini caravan.

If we're in town we'd like to join you. Be sure and take the drive on A1A south from St. Augustine to Daytona. Beautiful unobstructed views of the Atlantic once you get to Flagler Beach. Also if I remember correctly, Ancient Mariner lives just off of State Road 13 in St. Johns county. This is a beautiful 2 lane road that follows the St. Johns river. I also hear that St. Augustine has a pretty good seafood restaurant or two.

Richard, when are you guys headed back up north? If Tom Aglio's event does take place on Saturday the 2nd of April, does it make sense to try to do St. Augistine's the day before of after? We will be about 3 hrs away but I'm sure we'll drive over for both if done during different time period's.

Gordon mentioned heading north perhaps mid April, nothing definite. I had forgotten about Tom's cruise. Personally I would stay in FL through May but we have 3 cars in storage that need to be out by May 7th. We got time to work out details and make plans.

                      Re: Jacksonville

If there is interest, I am sure we can come up with some great sea food to eat and equally great views along the coast.

Billetproof, you are correct, we are off Rt 13 in mid county and the river ride south is also very nice. The road is called "Bartram Scenic Highway (2 lane)" for a reason :)

That's why it's our favorite local riding spot.

There is a lot of Birds in the Duval, Clay, St. Johns area, but the owners I have met just don't seem to be the club type or even car enthusiasts
