Terms of Service
"Thunderbirdnest.com" or from here on "TBN" is an online message board privately owned and operated by Spencer Haldeman on the World Wide Web of the Internet. "Members" or from here on "you" means each person who establishes or accesses a connection ("Account") for access to and use of this site's services as either a guest or a registered member. This "Terms of Service" (TOS) document or from here on "Terms" outlines and explains the guidelines and rules which you agree to comply with.
Forum Owners and Administrators
The owners and administrators of this forum are long time Thunderbird enthusiast. In addition to spending time on these forums, they maintain their other responsibilities outside of the forum with the work and family. Any detailed questions pertaining to the forum or in general, should be directed towards them.

Acceptance of Terms
Service is provided to you subject to the following Terms which may be updated from time to time without notice to you. You can review the most current version of the Terms at any time by going to the Home page and clicking on the Terms of Service.
Member conduct
1. General Posting Rules:
1.1 No "Flaming":
Flaming is considered the angry or abusive behavior toward another forum member. Please do not post any derogatory statements messages that harass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member or guest. This includes statements about race, religion, gender, sexual identity or other characteristics.
1.2 No "Trolling":
Please do not post any topic that disrupts the peace and harmony of this board. Don't create meaningless threads with the sole purpose of starting a dispute. This includes messages in profiles and signatures.
1.3 No "Spamming":
Please do not double post or cross-post the same message in multiple forums. You will not mass-PM or mass-email multiple members of this site the same message.
Spam is defined as unwanted, unsolicited commercial emails or post. While we go to great length to prevent spam from appearing, it still happens. Members can help by reporting any spam to the Administrator.
1.4 No "Offensive" Posts, Links or Images:
Please do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or otherwise violative of any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. Staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.
1.5 No Illegal activities
TBN will not tolerate any use of the forums to facilitate any illegal activities. Links to websites that share illegal software, music, movies, or other data are not permitted. Links to private File Transfer Protoco (FTP) sites with illegal content are also not permitted. Discussions on how to circumvent software registration & activation, workarounds for software copy-protection, hardware hacks to bypass safety features and other discussions of obviously illegal activity will not be permitted.
1.6 No Political Post or Undertones
No Political Discussions, Post, Signatures and Avatars. TBN will not host political discussions of any kind or post with political undertones, in any of its forums. We will vigorously enforce this policy. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove any posts that we deem to be political in nature, without warning or explanation. Posting of any political nature may result in being put on Moderation.
1.7 Posting to Forums
Try to post to the forum that is most appropriate for the topic being presented. If you DO post in the wrong forum, please inform an administrator or moderator. Otherwise, expect your post to be moved to the appropriate section. Please DO NOT start a "where did my thread go?" thread.
Do not post the same post in multiple threads. The Administrator will merge the post into one thread without notification.
1.8 Religions
Do not promote any religion in posts and signatures. The administrator has the right to delete such post.
2. Copyrighted Material
No "spreading of copyrighted Material": Please do not upload, attach or post anything that is copyright or licensed without prior consent of the owner.
3. Signature Rules
3.1 You may have a link to your own website but the link must be approved by Birdwings, LLC.
3.2 Signatures cannot have links to other sites that charge for any type of product or service unless they are a sponsor of TBN. No commercial links unless approved by the owners of Thunderbirdnest.com. Links to a members eBay store or a non-members eBay store are not permitted unless they are a sponsor of TBN.
3.3 Signatures will not contain image(s)or links found to be distasteful, pornographic, political, sexual or found not to be in the best interest of TBN.
3.4 Signature photos should be no larger than 250 by 180 pixels.
3.5 Signatures can contain no more than 3 lines of text or an image with (one) 1 line of text.
3.6 Signatures will be single spaced.
3.7 Text font will be no larger than 3.

4. Accounts
Each member is allowed one login account with the exception of Administration of Thunderbirdnest.com. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed and can quite possibly result in both accounts being removed without notice.
5. Private messages
Private messages, or PMs, are, as the name implies, private communications between two forum members, similar to email. PMs are excellent for negotiating classified transactions or asking questions that, for whatever reason, you don't want visible to all forum members.
If PMs are used for any derogatory statements messages that harass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame, angry or abusive behavior towards each other and reported to the Administrator, you will first receive one warning. If it continues after the warning, your PM privileges will be taken away.
6. Patriotism Forums
Patriotism is allowed on TBN under the proper forums.
7. Personal information
Personal information such as addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and such should be kept off the forums. While the general forum membership would likely not use any such information maliciously, anyone with Internet access could easily read the content of these forums, take the information and do who-knows-what with it.
TBN is not responsible for anything resulting from the information you post on the forums and will remove information upon request.
8. Assisting other forum members
This Forum grows because members help other members. Please respect the new members, even when questions are obvious. Not everyone knows the things you do.
Also, remember that not everyone that offers assistance knows what they are doing, so it is possible to receive incorrect information. Again, TBN is not responsible for anything that happens as a result of acting on information you receive on these forums.
Please use your better judgement when following information on these forums. If in doubt, please do not hesitate to ask for confirmation. Chances are, other members will be happy to provide it or to question the advice offered.
9. Use of Emails
The use of emails through Thunderbirdest.com for the purpose of flaming, harassing, or inappropriate purposes will not be tolerated. Your email account and membership account can be disabled due to misuse.
10. Items For Sale
Posting and listing items for sale for the purpose of commercial advertisement will be deleted. Nonpayment of items purchased from other members and from the TBN store can or may result in privileges taken away. If posting an item for sale, a price must be posted also.
11. Posting of Other Car Club Events
You will be able to post other club events only in the Chapter Forums. If the event is in Florida, then the thread should be posted in the Florida chapter. This includes any ITC, CTCI or VTCI events. At the top of your thread, it should be posted This Is Not A TBN Sponsored Event.

Items sold or bought in the Classifieds forum are sold "as is" and no warranty or insurance of any kind is provided by TBN. TBN cannot be held responsible for the outcome of any transactions and no warranty of any kind is provided, either express or implied. TBN events, contests and other activities arranged by members or third parties are not always endorsed by TBN. No guarantee or warranty of any kind is made or implied; attend or participate at your own risk.
Monitoring
TBN has the right, but not the obligation, to monitor the content of this site, including chat rooms, and forums, to determine compliance with Terms and any operating rules established by TBN and to satisfy any law, regulation or authorized government request. The Owners, Administrators and other authorized users of TBN have the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason and to reveal your identity and other known information in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you. The Owners, Administrators and other authorized moderators of TBN has the right to remove a person's membership for any reason.

RULES FOR POSTING ITEMS FOR SALE
Member posting an item for sale must have a least 25 post or be a member for 3 months before posting items for sale. That includes a member selling a car for themselves, neighbors or person that they know. You will not be able to circumvent the 25 post rules. There will be no commercial posting of items for sale unless approved by the Administration or the owners of TBN. Any post in violating of this will be removed without question or notice.
The forum will permit "OBO" or "serious offers" in a sale thread where a price has been stipulated. We will not permit threads where no price is stated, and/or asks for open offers.
Members are not permitted to "gauge interest," in their item for sale thread. Such threads will create an ebay type auction, and that is unacceptable. Sellers must create their thread with an asking price included.
To make posts easier to locate... and sort... some of the following would make it easier to browse this forum.
1) placing "FOR SALE:" before the subject of the post will indicate an item for sale.
2) placing "WANTED:" before the subject of the post will indicate an item that is wanted or needed.
placing "TRADE:" before the subject of the post will indicate an item for trade.
Sellers are asked to post in the thread that their item has sold, and to send a PM (private message) to an Admin so the thread can be closed.
For new members signing up to TBN. All new members are required to give correct information when they sign up to this site. That includes, correct address along with zip code, correct full name, date of birth, year of car, and any other information that may be pertinent to the site.
If I see anything out of line your membership WILL be BAN for life.
