The 2009 Rocket City Mustang Club All-Ford Show will be Saturday, May 9th, here in Huntsville, and is open to all Fords for entry. I've been to the past two shows, and although I've never entered the TBird, I plan on doing so this year.

The show is at the Madison Square Mall here in Huntsville, and is a very nice event - LOTS of cars, vendors, etc. Mostly Mustangs, of course, but some other very nice Fords as well - although I've never seen any TBirds there. We need some TBirds represented at this one! It's a $20 entry fee, and if I can get any other TBirds from around the area to enter, I am going to try for them to all be shown together in one section.

Any of you here in the surrounding areas that would like to enter, please let me know. I think it would be great to get some TBirds in the show, and maybe we could have some lunch together. It would be a nice day trip for those of you who live within 100 miles or so.

I know many of you have been to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area (between Mobile and Pensacola) for the first Redneck Riviera Thunderbird Rally and this one will be even bigger in 2010. This will be an official TBN event so you don't want to miss it.

October is a perfect time and there is so much to do here.----Best kept secret around but I will share it with all my TBN friends! I found a perfect condo/hotel on the beach and it is right in the middle of all the activities during October. I am negotiating prices and need to know from you all if you are interested in coming.

So get ready for the biggest Thunderbird event in 2010----The Second Redneck Riviera Thunderbird Rally(RRTR2) will be held on October 28 (early arrivals) thru October 31 in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, Alabama area. Visit the world famous Flora-Bama Road house, take a trip to Fort Morgan where the famous words were shouted: "Damn the Torpedoes---Full Speed ahead," or motor to the Naval Air Museum where every aircraft flown by the Navy can be viewed and more, By the way it is also home to the famous flying team-The Navy Blue Angels and you just may see them practicing nearby. Or you can simply walk the white sands of the Gulf Of Mexico where you can just relax and enjoy the most beautiful sights in the world. In addition there is a Sausage Festival in nearby Elberta.
