It seems like it will be an eternity until May; at this time of year when we all settle down for the long winter's nap "while visions of RetroBirds, dance through our heads".

To 'Manage the Wait' 'til sping we will be hibernating in Mexico for 3 months as I have run out of excuses to stay in Barrie in the winter.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Canada's capital - also deemed to be the snowiest place in Canada according to a news item today - though you wouldn't know it as it's sunny and warm !! The calm before the storm according to the Boxing day forecast.

Thank you everyone for allowing me to become an Honorary Member of the Canadian Chapter. I love the quotion marks around "Quebec", because that is where I am initially from. My father was in the RCAF and I had the priviledge to live in other provinces (sp). From Manatoba, to Goosebay Labador! Cannot wait until next year for my wife & I visit Canada again and see my cousins, and my Aunts (only a few left), and my Uncle (only 1 left). But looking forward to meeting some/most/all of (you guys)! Here in Texas is said Ya'll!

Ray: What was your fathers first name. Was he a pilot ? My wife Carol's uncle was in the RCAF and spent time in most of the provinces that you name/lived. He now volenteers his time in the Ottawa military museum. Perhaps they were acquantences. Could send him an email.

My father's first name is Denis (Joseph John Robert Denis). He was a metal worker in the RCAF, but did love to "fly the glider planes". I have pictures of him when he did this and standing next to the glider planes he flew. We also have some pictures of himself with other friends around his military days. If possible I can have my wife scan these pictures and forward them to you to see if anyone sees someone they think that they might remember, then, they might have been acquantences (sp), but unfortuntely, my father passed at the young age of 72. He was a die hard Montreal Canadian Hockey Fan! He missed the Dallas Stars win the "Cup" But he always knew that they would win.

Nice choice Ian. The Limited Edition Thunderbird Landau. There should be a consecutive unit number plate on your dash, one of 2,000 made. The plate also states 'world premier' , "Principality Of Monaco" . these Princess Grace Landau's had beautiful white leather upholstery, with rosewood applique bright metal inserts, on dash and console, white exterior and a rose vinyl top . Certainly was the big news for 1963 production. Very collectible and great choice. Look forward to seeing it this summer.

ps. For a realy nice picture of that 'pricipality' car, if you have some old 'National Geografic' mags around, check some of the '63 issues or late '62 (not sure what month). Ford used to have a bird in each issue from '59 till some time into the seventies. Great collectibles, expecially that one.
