Re: TOP ON TOP OFF
Not nice to "feed the trolls" Next three days here are supposed to be high 60s with a chance of it getting up to 70 on Fri. Sounds like topless weather to me. Now if I can just convince the wife.
And as far as the poll, well we can't vote because we have not had the Hard Top on the car since we brought the car home.Last edited by Sandgnat; Feb 15, 2006, 06:42 AM.04 Bird Light Ice Blue/Light Sand Top & Interior w/HT

Re: TOP ON TOP OFF
Weather has been fantastic this last week in the SF Bay area. Thought a little about converting back to the soft top. However, a cold snap with rain (and possibly snow on the taller mountains) is in the forecast. So I am glad I didn't.
I guess it is for the ski crowd who will be going to the Sierra for the President's week skiing.Frank

Re: TOP ON TOP OFF
Hard top stays on until April at least. Then I'll use the hoist to take it off the Bird. I'm really getting tired of the winter weather. They are Here. Scotty, beam me up!IT'S 5 O'CLOCK SOMEWHEREVisit the TBN Store

I can't vote because one Bird has the top on all the time and the other the top off all the time.http://www.thunderbirdnest.com/membe...00&ppuser=1190

Re: TOP ON TOP OFF
We've had the top on since late fall. We'll probably take it off about mid-April. I love the convertible, but the car looks equally good (I think) with the portholes.... so it's fine either way.

Re: TOP ON TOP OFF
I think you need a 5th voting option: Say heck with it & leave it OFF. I removed the hardtop from my Bird shortly after I bought it and have never put it back on. Too much trouble, and the soft top works just as well if I really need a roof. I mainly bought it for top-down driving, I only drive it in beautiful weather... AND I live in Southern California. :)Last edited by Retro-Green; Feb 15, 2006, 08:04 PM.

Re: TOP ON TOP OFF
......my friend Steve owns a black 'Bird...so he comes over and we take both the hardtops off and I store them both in my garage....with the winter being so mild we did just that last week-end....drove with the top down on Sunday as it was sunshine and +13 C....Today....-11 C...Light snow......but Sunday was a treat!.......

Re: TOP ON TOP OFF
Top is on for now. Several, several days were nice enough to have it off. I think I would have left the top off all winter, if I hadn't been selling the house. Depending on when the house sells and the new one is ready, I may have the car top ON for an extended period of time. My top is another situation totally.R.
