Re: 2004 Only---Thunderbird Milage
When I put my TBird away for the Winter the other day I noticed my mileage was 19700, I didn't even put 600 miles on it this year. I usually put more like 2000 miles on it during May thru Nov. I think alot of it had to do with the weather, alot of rain and hail. I spent alot of my time at our Summer home in Michigan and we don't have a garage there so I don't think I drove it up there at all last Summer. Leroy

Re: 2004 Only---Thunderbird Milage
Pretty Typical. 35000 miles. Drive it locally every day. Makes for a pretty nice grocery getter.
Drove it once for 4 hours and couldn't walk...I have a bad back....so I bought the Jag to do trips in.
My friends said I should trade the Bird in for a nice cruiser....
My beloved Tbird?
No way, Jose.sigpic
Invoice $38,457 - Sold new 9/15/2003
One of twenty two built like this
She was a good one. Sold 12/30/2014.
Replaced with 2013 Infiniti G37 Coupe.
A lot better car and even more exclusive, but doesn't have the Cachet the Thunderbird had. Adios, mi Amigo.

Re: 2004 Only---Thunderbird Milage
Our bird has only 11,300 miles.
I am sure some would therefore consider it an underused garage queen, but that is not the case. It is driven daily to work but since it is only a 7 mile round trip the mileage just doesn't add up very fast!
Of course there are the longer weekend ice cream runs with the top down - certainly not the time of year for that right now.

Re: 2004 Only---Thunderbird Milage
I have almost 77K on my bird. Although it's only 1 year new to me (bought with 64K) at a very reasonable price. I just can't help it, I love to drive the T-Bird! I will continue to drive it every chance I can get, however, I'm getting ready this week to put her into hibernation for the winter months. I do have my Harley, Caddie (winter car) and P/U truck, but the Bird is such a pleasure to drive. (one of my first cars was a 55' Bird) My wife and I are enjoying it like we stole it. How can some people just leave em' in the garage? They are nice to look at, but I want to give everyone a chance to see one of Detroit's finest creations.
