Bird is the word..... Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats. H. L. Mencken US editor (1880 - 1956)
Go bird , I could not agree more with you . Retro birds were made to drive and have some fun ,not park in the garage and look at.
From what I have read on TBN it seems like the ones with the low mileage have more problems than the ones with the higher miles.
I drive mine almost everyday and when I don't I go out and start it up.
82,500 now, 10,000 when I bought it in 2006. Will put another 1200 on this June going to Lexington, KY and back. :-) Most of the States in Red were visited in 2009 on my coast to coast road trip.
April 24th we drove the 02 T-bird 854 miles from Las Vegas to Amarillo, TX and 854 miles back to Vegas on 4-30-14. Drove around Amarillo adding about another 100 miles. Then on May 10th drove from Vegas to Seligman, AZ via Route 66 & back on May 11th about 200 miles each way. Had 15,500 miles prior to trip to Amarillo. Now have over 17,700 miles. Two longest trips we have taken in the T-bird in the nearly 13 years we have owned it.
18K on Goldilocks, 19K on Moondoggie.
No, I don't drive a whole lot, but we also have 6 cars, so when I do drive, it gets spread around. My 15-yr-old Expedition only has 47K!
