We just purchased our 2002 TBird in TBird Blue, with matching hard top and accent interior.

We are excited as we get some changes done over a couple of weeks before we pick it up;

Seat heaters ( factory match swithces )
Trailer hitch ( for pulling the CLC Teardrop )
Full detail job
Upgrade to new Pioneer Touchscreen.

So glad to find the "Nest" as our boats name has nest in it too.

Welcome! Enjoy your new bird. You're in a great area for boating. I've spent many a day on the Chesapeake myself. Do you already have a hitch? Ready made hitches are very hard to find at this point.

Re: New member

Thanks all!

We have a Curt hitch coming off of Ebay. Ships today per the order.

As soon as it's all done we are taking the little trailer from Harbor Freight over to a local body shop to have it painted to match the car.

This is gonna be a fun project for the Summer.

@007Cruiser - yea, I grew up on the bay sailing since age 4. We head to Richmond in the Fall for my job relocation and will put us an hours drive to the boat. Still, only for a few years but we want to go do some land cruising and the TBird with the teardrop will be fun.

Scott & Sara:

Welcome aboard. Check out the Mid-Atlantic Group Forum here as well. You will see TBN and other activities posted in the Baltimore/Southern PA/Northern Va area. We would love to have you join us. Our territory includes all of Virginia so some of the activities would not be that far. And there are other TBN members in the Richmond/Tidewater area so an activity in that area is a possibility. I have pm'd you as well.

Re: New member

Thanks more to all.

@stevedaphotoman - normally we are hotel people but adding AC and heat makes the teardrop liveable. Not quite like on Otters Nest but a queen mattress and AC/Heat make it work. We are still looking at small gensets ( just enough to power the AC/Heat ). Our first road trip is to Richmond in a few weeks. Very excited.

For those wondering - here is the camper - http://www.clcboats.com/shop/boats/r...p-trailer.html

Welcome!
"Camping" for my wife is a motel room with an exterior entrance.
