The visors, headrests and the boot all look amazing! I'm still hoping someone comes up with a bronze metallic, although the black is great with the thunderbird blue logo.

Noel's brother Bob makes these. Several of us have had them made. He takes a 2002 boot and covers it with any color of leather you want. You can also have it embroidered if you choose. I can't find Bob's number, but I'm sure Noel or someone else here can get it for you.

(Noel....I love the visors!)

"THNBRDRD 02", I really like them!...Very nice! I think that the pleats in them give them a nice retro look...I think they would look nice to compliment the top boot and headrests I already have...(see the picture)
I'm going to check to see if I could have mine done too...

Hey Claude! I think this is the first time I've seen your two-tone boot. I really like it...especially the center accent color flare in the back (by the trunk). Looks great with the flare at the bottom of the headrests. Very symmetrical.

Thanks "redbirdsal" for your nice comments!... In fact, it is my girlfriend who thought of doing the "flaring" design for the boot...

Thanks for all the kind words. I really like the visors I wish I had done them sooner. The hard part with the boot is you need an 02 boot. Bob may have one in 2 or 3 months meanwhile if you want his # I can get it this weekend I don't have it with me.

Is there a difference between the 02 and 04 visors?

Re: New Visors

The only difference in the visors from a 2002 to 2003-2005 is the covering. The 2002's were vinyl, the 2003-2005 is fabric.

Icon5 Question about the mirrors on the visors...

"THNDRBRD 02", judging from the pictures, it seems that you had to get rid of the vanity mirrors on the visors...Am I right?

Re: New Visors

I spent several hours searching a junkyard for lighted vanities & couldn't find anything then decided I'd rather not have the original vanities. So it was just a personal choice.

Re: New Visors

Visors were done by a friend, Ron, at Dixie Top Shop in Hallandale, Fl. 954-456-0000. The headrests & boot were done by my brother Bob at B&B Auto Upholstery in Lake Wales Fl, 863-678-0167. Color & OEM leather or not is the biggest variable. When I bought the red leather for the visors it took a week or 10 days to find a hide at a reasonable price, so it is becoming scarce.

Re: New Visors

I just bought a 2002. What I'd like to have is a full cockpit tonneau cover along the lines of what came as standard equipment on Austin Healeys. The Healey had a boot cover and a full tonneau which included its own boot section plus the front section which extended all the way up to the dash. It had a zipper down the middle and you could drive the car with the passenger side in place. So far it looks like I'll have to have it custom made since no one seem s to remember what a tonneau really is. Any ideas?

George,

I know what you are looking for, have one for my 74 MGB. But I don't think I have ever seen one for the Thunderbirds, so yes, guess you will have to have one custom made. Don't know how to secure it at the windshield. Maybe strips of black Velcro?

Good luck.
