Thunder In The Ozarks - A Heartland Chapter TBN Mini-Event

Time for another Heartland Chapter Mini-Event!

All Heartland Chapter members as well as TBN members and Thunderbird enthusiasts from around the country/world are invited to join us is Northwest Arkansas in Spring 2017 for a weekend of fun, food and fellowship.

Thunder In The Ozarks will take place March 23 - 26, 2017. We will be based at the Staybridge Suites in Rogers, Arkansas as we explore several interesting and exciting area venues/attractions.

The basic agenda will look something like this:

I'm interested, Paul but March can be pretty vicious up here. I'll have to wait till it gets closer. The summer was so good here we're nervous about the winter!

Re: Thunder In The Ozarks - A Heartland Chapter TBN Mini-Event

Looks like the Heartland Chapter members are going to have to get on a stick to represent the area. It will be great to host folks from all over TBN land. If anyone wants to add on to their trip to make it more worth the long drive, Eureka Springs, AR (about an hour away) and Branson, MO (about 2 hours away) are always fun places to visit.

Bill Green seems to be down playing his involvement with the planning and execution of this event. Believe me, he is a vital member of the committee and the event probably wouldn't happen without him.

I've added some links to the first post so you can take a virtual visit to the places we plan to see in person.

Reservations made. Mint Bird is going on a road trip! Considering passing through Muscle Shoals on our way to see some of the sights we missed in Oct. Then on our way back to Florida we probably will go through Memphis and take in Graceland. Thanks Paul.

Re: Thunder In The Ozarks - A Heartland Chapter TBN Mini-Event

Interesting stat - so far, almost half of those indicating they want to attend Thunder In The Ozarks have more than one retrobird to choose from to drive to the event. Only one of them has been called at this point - Richard and Gordon are coming in their Vintage Mint Green since they'll be starting the trip in Florida.

It will be fun to see what kind of mix we end up with. Recently, Singing River Thunder had a strange anomaly occur as there was not an Evening Black car (the most sold of any color and available all 4 years + the NM Special Edition) in attendance. I've been to more events than most over the past 14+ years and that is the first time I can remember that happening with a good sized gathering.
