I just caught a small piece of the auction but saw a real nice white '57 go for $45K What was interesting was the lengthy commentary by the moderator about the T- bird and Ford. He stressed the fact that it was built for style and not speed or handling, and what an icon it has become, because of that. I remember 2 friends birds in the 50's and they both drove horrable and road ruff and we loved them both COOL THEN COOL NOW
