1963 split window Corvette. Bought it in 1967 when I was a sophomore in high school. Sold it in 1970 to buy a 1969 Corvette.

I believe it. I easily get in the 20s on the open road.

You-all wont believe this but I got 25Mpg as advertised with my 2005 Hemi in Colorado where there was no Ethanol blended gas. It used 89 Octane and Chrysler said 87 was acceptable.

I used, gas pedal, brake and coast, and broke the law a little when going downhill.

I just could not see doing engine breaking when going downhill after I spent gas going uphill. Oh, and turn cruise control off. I got 27Mpg doing this in Colorado on I70.

    I'm expanding my carbon footprint.

I have two. The 65 Thunderbird that I owned for ten years. Needed the money for family things. Then there was a 58 Rambler American. A dorky slow little car but so much fun to drive. She got more attention than any sports car I've owned.

    I miss my 2005 Chrysler 300C Hemi 345 hp.

I had fun making up for not having a HotRod when I was a teenager.

Sold/traded at it for a Hemi pickup truck 60,000 miles for only $10,000.
    Big mistake.

If all the cars I have owned were lined up in a row in the condition I sold them and I had to pick one I would be standing there a while. Not a pleasant or easy choice the more I think about it.

At $0.28 a gallon saving gas was exactly what most of us were trying to do - lol

1964 Ford Galaxy 500 convertible white with gray interior and it was the first car I ever purchased . It was a Ford program car so I was the first owner. My mother turned it upside down on our country road. I replaced it with a 1964 T-bird convertible Royal Blue that was a program can that I still own to this date.

This is one that I do miss. Sold it because my wife did not like riding in it. Then bought my 02WW.

This is the kind of memories that caused most of us to buy a retro Thunderbird. Big difference between those who have commented and those who didn't.
    ( Boy don't that make a lot of sense (-: )
