The Pythian Castle, Springfield MO. Built early 1900s by the Knights of Pythias fraternal organization. It served as home for children of widowed members. During WWII the army ‘acquired’ it for half price and used it as a hospital, officers club and a POW internment center for German and Italian pows. Stopped here on our way back from finishing the lower 48.
Ok Kevin, you win. Let's see what you can come up with.
Nice photo, Kevin. There's a Pythian Castle near Weatherford, Texas that our AACA club visited a number of years ago. Alas, spouse parked with a tree obstructing a good photo view of the castle with our 57 in it.
So this is where we first got introduced to TBN in person. Papasito's 2015.
With all the social distancing it may be a while before we get to see all the smiling faces we've come to know.
The picture challenge is that of a picture with TBNers together with or without our Thunderbirds. Large or small group, something memorable to share.
Thought it would be good to remember "it's all about the people , that met because of the cars" .
Stay safe and healthy.
Hoping for a lot of entries

Thanks Dot,
Kinda stumbled on finding this place. Very interesting history well worth a google search to read about.

There should be plenty of folks with some time on their hands to pull up some group photos. When I think of all the fun, fun, fun places we've been together over the past almost 20 years, I can't help but smile. Pictures make the memories all that much more clear at this point.
This has to be one of the greatest group shots ever made at a TBN event. It's got the people and the cars on a pretty special day. For me it may very well be the best.

Joe and Marie being awarded their "Celebrate Forty Eight States" plaque from Bill Green and David Applebaum at Pappasito's 2020 on February 23, 2020. Quite an achievement.
Gosh, Jim, so hard to believe Wisconsin Thunder was almost 5 years ago already. A great time was had by all.
