Re: Satisfied with Your Bird.
I have mixed feelings abouth my 'Bird...What dissapoints me about it, is that at almost every car show I go with the car, people (except a few) aren't interested in it...Most just walk by, not making a single comment and seem more interested in going to see the next car...WHY?...I don't know for sure...Maybe people are more interested in large motored muscle cars or some more sought after cars?...Obviously, the T-Bird doesn't fall into any of these categories and seems more like a "novelty" item than a desirable one. I know that most people here will disagree with that because we're all T-bird enthusiasts here, but in the "real" world, sadly, the '02-'05 T-Bird just doesn't draw much attention among car enthusiasts. It's a car that's not easy to "classify", not being a powerful muscle car, also having been produced in too large numbers to become a collectible in the near future.
At first when I bought it, I was very enthusiastic about it, but now I understand that people were looking at it simply because it was a new model. Don't get me wrong...I still LOVE my car...Sometimes I look at my 'Bird parked in my garage and say to myself "how gorgeous it is" !...but at the same time, I have the feeling I'm the only one who feels like that about it...
Of course, I bought the car for MYSELF which is what counts, but a good word of encouragement or just a good comment once in a while wouldn't hurt and would surely make myself more proud about it!...It's the main reason why every now and then, I want to sell it and get something else...but I haven't done it yet!

...Dunno if I'll still be around, but by then, my drivers permit will probably be revoked, so no more driving the 'Bird!
