    Re: Satisfied with Your Bird.

    I vote satisfied.

I'm not actively selling, but for the right price, I'd strongly give it consideration.

I've only had the TBird since October 2009, but love it. I've even convinced my husband it's perfect for us. We now have the first year 1955 Golden Bird and my 2005 Cashmere! We've taken a couple road trips in the 2005 and have more planned.

I am beyond a doubt very very satisfied.
My wife is very very satisfied, no I should say PLEASED!
My boys, ages 42 & 38 think they have some pretty cool parents to be driving around in such a eye catching car.

This is only our 2nd Ford product, the other is our 1992 F-250. The truck & the Bird have been great to us, a pleasure to own & drive.

We really do have a smile in every mile.

I couldn't be happier (as an owner of 2), and if I weren't, I wouldn't be in constant pursuit of a third of a particular species!

The only thing I dislike about the car is that lag in the transmission when you first take off. I was told it is the "nature of the beast-the Jag trans." But again, this is not a race car we have here. It is just a shame Ford shot themselves in the foot in handling the whole t-bird "re birth". I too think it is the coolest car i have ever owned!

Happiness, or maybe for this thread I should say, "Satisfaction" on that one is found in buying another "toy".

You're gonna have to park a "boy-racer" next to your Thunderbird and when the itch needs scratching you're ready to go........but you are onto something. It really would have been interesting to see how much demand for a Super-Charged version with standard shift and some ability to really carve a corner. I'm guessing some of us would have been willing to pay up for that. The car really has the potential in it.
While "soft" the balance in these cars is as good as many of the worlds best sports cars. You got the independent suspension, stiff chassis (considering this is a convertible), and a near 50/50 weight distribution. Spring rates, shocks, wider wheels/tires and and fat stabilizer bars would have gone a long way in this car. Super-charging is something Ford has lots of experience with these days. Getting this car well past 300HP and giving it the torque it lacks (the real problem in the weak 0-60 times) would have been easy for Ford.

But you got what you got...... once you get your head wrapped around what the car is and what it isn't,

.....you just have to like the smooth, comfortable maturity of this car. Before the T-Bird, to get that, you usually found yourself behind the wheel of something truly boring.

I suspect you are like me. Every once in awhile, when on your own and away from the eyes and critique of friends and family wondering if you're going through some sort of mid-life crisis...... you want the true street brawler. For me it's an '08 Corvette. For others it's other cars but in the end you have to admit loud, kidney pounding rides may be exciting when you are in the mood but they make lousy daily drivers.

The T-Bird is the car I never have to make excuses for and I'm always comfortable in. Very Satisfied is an understatement. We liked it enough to buy two of them. It's a "his and a hers" thing.

We love it! Like above we added what I thought Ford left out. Mirrow with compass and auto dimming.

To echo what others have said, I love my bird and, it still makes me smile. Without it, we wouldn't have met a lot of wonderful people both here on TBN and locally. I haven't had a speck of problems yet but am pursing the extended warranty just in case.

I love the lines of the Bird but I do think Ford could have put more into the car.IMO they need a little more chrome which we have added on our own to dress it out a little.Ford could have been more responsive to the COPS problem and covered all years. It was a production run of only 4yrs.I like the way that Lincoln looks although it will be out of my price range.

This car is nothing but a toy with that said I'm very satisfied. The lines are beautiful the
reverse wedge design sort of makes it look like its moving when its parked. As far as
performance nothing to write home to mother about. I had a 1994 Ford Probe GT that
would run rings around the Bird. It would not be my choice if I could only have one car
not practical at all. I'm a kid at heart and when I want to go back fifty years top down
and away we go,very satisfied. Of all the cars I owned if I could have it brand new today it would be a 1985 Buick Riviera plush, smooth and go in snow. What was your
                              best?

I traded my leased Ford Fusion in and bought the '05. It is my daily driver and I commute to and from work with a smile on my face every day. When I see all the cookie cutter toyotas, hondas, etc., I smile knowing that we (the nesters) get to experience more than just an automobile.
