Thanks everyone! I appreciate the well wishes.
It was a good day. No cake and ice cream - something even better - coconut cream pie! We are down in Texas for the NASCAR race. My daughter, granddaughters and great granddaughter showed up at the hotel from Plano with the pie to surprise me. They didn't stay long as they had another thing to get back to, but it made me feel real good they'd come all the way across the metroplex to bring the pie.
After they left and Rosetta and I came back from dinner it was time to eat some pie. We brought back a plastic fork and knife from the restaurant, but without a plate an old man's got to do what an old man's got to do. No judging please.
