    Re: Mileage on Your Bird

It seems Gobird could care less about all the garage queens out there, he wants to hear from the cars that are being driven. Maybe there should be a separate poll for those under 20K.

Almost 42,000 here and still looks nearly new except for a few rock chips here and there. Not one door ding thanks to Godzilla, see other thread...

        Re: Mileage on Your Bird

I've worked hard my whole life. I could never afford a play car, only what I needed to get by. Things are a bit better now and I'm lucky enough to own a "Garage Queen" in addition to my daily driver. I make no appologies, I've earned it. I'll just be breaking 5,000 miles on my '03 next week.

I voted, but I thought that the poll started at 20 miles, not 20,000. It may be a garage queen, but I have other vehicles and some are fun to drive too. Plus, there are a lot of places that I will not drive the car. The mall, the grocery, even to church. Those are all ding cities. I'm not knocking those who do drive their cars, enjoy.

[QUOTE=jerrym3]My 03 has less than 8,000 on the odometer.

Todd, don't feel sorry for us garage queen owners. Driving is fun, but sitting in daily commuting traffic, driving on snow covered, icey roads four months per year, and/or getting pelted by rocks from an 18 wheeler in front of you is not.

I know that parts of your state have some of the worst traffic in the country; however, I'm guessing that Santa Margarita isn't one of them.

You are correct - no traffic all the way up north to San Jose and south to Woodand Hills. After those cities, it's gridlock. I sympathize with the traffic you must face and understand your winters (my wife is from MA). I just hope other TBNers enjoy their cars as much as I do: however they work it out!

                      18,500.
By September, when I will have owned her for 2 years, she'll have about 20,000.
Maybe THEN I can come back and participate in this poll.

I've just broke 2000 miles on my "05", but it'll be a while before I get 20,000 on it because of all the other vehicles that I've got. 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 1987 Ford Ranger, 1995 23' Coachman motorhome, 1969 HURST SC/RAMBLER, and a 1996 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide. I'm the only one driving them now since my wife passed away two years ago.

I may never get to vote, My 2000 Eddie Bauer Expedition only has 31,000 miles. My 7-wk-old '05 T-bird still has ony 400 miles on it. I'm not in a race...I just want to preserve my cars!!
