I had a 1986 malcom konner edition corvette,,,,,,,,it was a factory option in recognition for there sales performance. I personally wouldnt get anohter corvette,i dont need that much performance,,or the stiff ride and i feel like midlife crisis poster boy being seen in it.the t bird is all class and comfort

Ron, all good points, but there's that little bit of boy racer...................

Heck, I hardly use the performance that the TBird offers, but an every now and then blast to 60 in 4 seconds or so seems like...fun.

I don't know how the new C6 rides, but the car articles don't seem to think that the ride is too harsh, as long as you don't get the optional suspension package, but, what's "too harsh" to them as opposed to "too harsh" for me?

No matter; I'm not buying one, so it's a moot point.

My '03 MSG/saddle interior TFOR2 just turned 20,000 miles. It's in the garage for most of the nasty road salt Ohio winter weather, but we make up for it when the sun shines the rest of the year. A cruise after work for dinner and/or an ice cream treat happens at least five evenings a week. Sometimes no food is involved! and my wife and I just drive for the sake of driving. That's what we bought it for. If you are worried about resale, the used car manager at my local Ford dealer says that given the choice between a car that has been well taken care of and looks sharp at 60,000 miles and the same car that has half the miles but less cosmetic appeal, he'll get MORE for the one with the better curb appeal. And if you can't market your well-taken-care-of Bird yourself when the time comes and get much better $ than whatever book says you should, then you just aren't very creative.

I just checked my odo. 2169, with about another 350-400 coming up this weekend. I'd have more, but I've had two foot surgeries since I brought the car home in March. (Six weeks down time each foot!) I love to drive it, but try not to use it for the super market type trips if I can help it. It's a wonderful cruiser on those road trips! I hope to post some pics. soon. It's a semi garage queen & that's fine with me. That's how I plan on keeping it; a weekend cruiser, not a daily driver. (my car, my way)

If we lived in a warmer climate it would get more miles on it, but a closer look at the stats. will probably show the Northeast and Midwest owners don't drive as much as our 'warmer friends due to to a survival factor vs. being garage queens, but at least I get to use the hardtop awhile. 02 just turned 7,000

Sorry, but this poll was for owners with 20,000+ miles on the Bird. These are the ones that are really driven. That's why I stated that it would be mainly for 02 and 03 owners. Don't expect that many miles on anything newer then 03's. Just to clear things up a little.

Julie..it depends on how the poll is set up--some of the polls (like TBOM) are set up for the voters of the poll to remain anonymous.

Gobird..I wish you had set a voting option of:
"Can't vote on this poll because I don;t have enough mileage, but I want to see who does" --
because I can't vote on this poll because I don;t have enough mileage, but I want to see who does.
and I can't see who does because I can't vote.

In the Navy we used to have Hanger Queens. They were good airplanes that were robbed for spare parts.

I love ya, bro, but I don't know how you can not drive your Birds. If I had two beauties like yours, I'd be trying to figure out how to drive them both at the same time! Of course, if you're saving them for me, then by all means keep those miles down!
