    Re: Mileage on Your Bird

Ray, one I just got today and if miles in my thoughts over the last 9 weeks counted I would be able to vote on this poll. Anyway, about you getting the birds, you were inline then you disowned me as a father.

                Re: Mileage on Your Bird

                Spence,

I'm trying to get up the mileage to make your pole. A few more trips to Tulsa and surrounding areas scouting out venues for our Oklahoma eventis all it will take. We got our '02 in November 2001 and have about 19,350 miles on her now. I anticipated putting about 5000 miles per year on her when we got it (we have 3 other vehicles for daily driving between the 2 of us - plus I wouldn't want to subject her to our parking lot at work). We are just a little ahead of schedule on that prediction. That 3200 miles I put on for the Wixom and Carlisle trip in early June sort of moved things up a little.

Should be able to vote very soon!!

                        Re: Mileage on Your Bird

In 4 more years I may have enough miles on the '03 Red to be able to make the lower end of the first mileage poll option.
The '05 Inca may make the same mileage poll option in 15 to 20 years.

                          Re: Mileage on Your Bird

Have had TB 4 2 for a little over 3.5 years and am approaching 25K. It has been holding the past few months as I now have a company car for work.

This has caused withdrawal symptoms. Take her out and let her wings spread every nice day I can. She definitely is not a garage queen (don't have a garage) but she does hibernate for about 2 - 3 months with a heavy cover.

So far have made 4 good trips: ThunderIsle (Atlanta) , ThunderFever (Tn) , 2 trips to Buffalo, N.Y. Will be heading north next month for a 3 day trip near Lake Erie.

I like to keep the mileage down, not drive in bad weather (rain/snow) if I can help it. Love to run topless when ever I can! This car is my "toy" and long time dream. Look forward to many more miles.

                            Re: Mileage on Your Bird

Sometimes I think I have more mileage on my feet from walking around wiping, shining and just looking at the car than I have on the car itself!

Well, as some might have read, my 02 is going to become a garage queen after 37,000 miles of everyday driving. This car is not my toy. This car is my SOUL !
