Has a heavy, solid feel, handles great, and is plenty quick. The car is my 32nd convertible since high school so I have plenty to compare with. It compares very well with my recent 1996 Jaguar xjs convertible, which I thought was one of the finest. I find myself making excuses to go someplace just to drive the T-Bird ! I just installed the Ford chrome hood scoop this morning, which is a nice addition. In just two weeks I have also installed a wood dash kit, chrome body side moldings, chrome rocker panel moldings, new extended chrome exhaust tips, and eliminated the two stock resonators(for a little nicer sound). I have a pair of V-8 emblems ordered from Ford which will be installed soon.
I just can't believe I didn't get the T-Bird bug sooner!! Whatta car!!!

My 03 has 12,000 and change. It's a year 'round daily driver, but I don't have a long commute. I love driving it, and find I sometimes look for reasons to take a longer way home. I've got snow tires on now (Dunlop Graspic) and the handling is a bit less sharp, but still love the ride in this car - it's an ideal blend of comfort and handling.

Our 02 has 13,500 miles, has not been out in 2 weeks since there is snow on the ground.
Can't wait to drive her with the top down again.

85,000 and still runs like Brand New , I am hoping to be the first Retro Bird to hit 100,000 miles by the Oklahoma Trip, is there any other members even close yet. Thanks and Happy Holidays, Rick

Let's see. The first six months that I had the car ( 04 ), I put 5500 miles on it. I added another 4000 miles over the next 12 months. I am glad I was able to slow the mileage down.

We just bought our 02 blue Bird in Maryland and drove it 2300 miles home to Alberta, Canada. She now has 15,200 miles and is put away for the winter. The drive home was a wonderful "test drive" and she hit 135 mph once on the flat open prairie in Manitoba. Looking forward to spring. Will definitely be at the Thunderbird show in Kelowna this year with the rest of the Edmonton TBird Club contigent.

My '03 has about 8200 and the '05 has 230. Both are resting comfortably for the winter. They will awaken to greet the Spring (late March - early April).

I now have owned my '05 Black Bird for three weeks and have just hit 1,000 miles. My previous '04 Vette Convert was a covered garage queen--never again. I will drive this wonderful Bird and when it wears out I will sell it and buy one of the garage queens mentioned above and wear it out....so you with the garage queens, please don't drive them much...just look at them!

                  Thanks,

                    Congratulations on your new T-Bird!!
I also purchased an 02 Bird last August. My bird had only 570 KM on it when I bought it in Regina. Drove it home to Kelowna and just had a great drive through
the mountains. I will also be at the Kelowna T-Bird show, so hope to see you there. Happy New Year!!!

                          Wes,

You will have to catch up, 16117 miles. Had the bird out christmas eve day and took it for an oil change during last week. I stopped by the local chrysler dealership in it to check on the bride's car and a couple of employees came out to see it.

I am so glad there are people out there coddling their Birds and keeping the mileage low while storing them for winter, etc. When I'm done driving mine [47,400 miles now] until it won't go anymore, I'll be able to find a cherry Bird with the same color and interior...

At 49K of enjoyable miles, I have purchased a commute truck and retired Red Rider to the garage and a car cover. Now my only worry is not getting a dead battery. I have driven it about 30 miles in the last month. We have had a lot of rain in the last 30 days so it's nice to know it will be clean when I pull it out of the garage.
