  • Re: Mileage on Your Bird

My 05 has 5400 on it. I drive it quite a bit, I think. A couple times out of town too. Had it almost a year.

Mine is a 2004 going over 30,000, probably on the commute home tonight. 80 miles a day eats up the mileage, but it's just so much fun.

Just traded in an '02 for a '05. The '02 had 31K miles. Drove it on a spring hill country trip each year and to a car rally in Wisconsin or to the International T-Bird meeting each August. Other than that it was a garage queen. Almost all miles were highway miles. Never had any mechanical issues with the car.

The new '05 was in a dealer for almost two years and now has 575 miles on it since last September. So drive about 6K miles a year all for fun.

i took the poll with our 02 quite awhile ago but it's now up to 70,000.
however, we put 20,000 on our 05 in just 6 months this past year so it's now at 22,000. hope it stays there for awhile. we're looking for a road car to use on some our long road trips now to keep the mileage down on the birds when we can.

WOW my 2005 Cashmere Bird must be the BIGGEST GARAGE QUEEN in the club. She will be 2 years old April 7 and only has 2,768 miles on her. MMMMM Lets see that's about 115 miles a month, she should be around a looooooong time.

My 2005 just turned over 1250 miles this month after owning it for 18 months. It may be the ultimate "garage queen" unless some one has less miles than that for a non dealer car. The car still smells new when I get in it and start it up.

Harry, now that you are retired that number has got to go up! We can't save ours for "a" granddaughter since we have 7 of them. That doesn't include the 5 grandsons. Guess they'll just have to get their own.
