do you do the wave?

Yesterday I passed my first tbird while in my new one and waved. Then a rush came over me when the person waved back... Today I passed my second tbird and waved again... he waved back... Anyway, when you pass a tbird and you are in yours, do you wave? I don't see too many of them around so when i pass one i just get the urge because i feel like we're part of an elite group : )

The sighting are not often but I make it a habit to wave whether its and old or new Bird.

Hell, I even wave at classic Mustangs (I drove a '65 for years, I guess it's an old habit).

Today after a softball game, I was crossing the middle of a street and saw an Evening Black/Black HT driving toward me. I gave the woman driving a "thumbs up" as she passed, though sweaty and dirty as I was (and sans T-Bird), she probably thought I was crazy.

In order to wave, first look left, look right, check your rearview mirror for overtaking traffic, look forward, then peripherally to be sure no pedestrians are at risk, then carefully lift one hand from either the ten o'clock or two o'clock position then raise that hand and slowly move it right one quarter turn then left one half turn. Oh! never mind they're gone. Yeah I wave.

I wave at all Thunderbird drivers. I'll also wave at about anyone who waves a me. Sometimes the Queen will ask. "who are you waving at, or who was that?". I think it's a good thing to be nice, when you can. Some folks merit a not so nice wave sometimes.

I always wave when in the T-Bird and give them the thumbs up when in the Explorer or company car. Met a Red with top down on our way back from the lake today. Was in the Explorer so I honked the horn and gave them a thumbs up as we met on the highway. Scared my wife as she was reading a book at the time.

Saw a Bird on the road today (rarely see them), gave the gal a and she gave me a right back! Love seeing those beautiful cars on the road!
