Poll #1 - TBN Topics

The subject of allowing Tbird/car only posts on TBN has come up over and over. It's time to take a vote. Should TBN be modeled after the more sophisticated Jaguar forum and allow car related posts only, or should TBN be left as is? Let's see what the membership wants.

IF IT AIN'T BROKE WHY MESS WITH IT.
WE HAVE AN ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AND WE SHOULD ALL TALK ABOUT ANY SUBJECTS, AS CAR BUFFS, T-BIRD OWNERS, GET-TOGETHERS, CONTRIBUTIONS, POLITICS, ECONOMY, STOCK MARKET, WHATEVER...

THERE SHOULD BE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE OUT THERE TO PARTICIPATE IN...WHY LIMIT OUR EXPOSURE ON SUBJECTS AND EVENTS...I REALLY THINK THIS IS WHAT HAS ALLOWED THE SITE TO FLOURISH AND FOR A LOT OF US TO BECOME FRIENDS...AND DISAGREEMENT IS GOOD ALSO...ITS FOOD FOR THOUGHT...I NEVER MET A PERFECT PERSON...I NEVER MET A PERSON WHO IS RIGHT 100% OF THE TIME...

NO ONE IS GOING TO LOVE OR AGREE WITH EVERYONE'S OPINION..THATS GOOD..IMAGINE HOW BORING IT WOULD BE IF WE ALL DID...

TO KEEP IT ALL T-BIRDS...I REALLY FEEL ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE EVERY ISSUE IS BEAT TO DEATH...THATS WHAT PROMPTED ME TO WRITE A SILLY THREAD...WHAT KIND OF GREASE SHOULD WE USE...EVENTUALLY THERE WOULD BE NOTHING TO DISCUSS AND TBN WILL DIE A SLOW DEATH...

Seriously, I probable would stop looking at this site if it were not for all the fun and crazy post and all the great and not so great people here. I know I had drifted away from the 300M Forum after I felt I knew all I need and more about the 300m's, even before I started looking for a Bird. But this site is addictive because you never know what subject may be starting. So we get a little info on our cars, the world, and life. This place is kinda like the old "Cheers" show.

I would say most everyone could agree what will we talk about in a year from now if we have only car related posts? Just take a look at the Tbird topic look at the last 5 months, alot of the same converstations as the prior five months! and most everybody post "do a search for". So lets be honest once you have answered all your T-bird questions, and like me I have read through alot of posts regarding things my Bird has not had problems with so I now feel cofendent if they do arise I know how to handle them, whats left?
We might not all agree all the time but come on! This is what makes this site fun. I for one enjoy reading posts on other things, and you learn alot from other peoples view points even if you do not agree with them!
Just my two cents worth!

Leave TBN alone. Let's have REAL talk and discussions, REAL relationships. One more time...JUST CAR TALK =

the car info is great and the foundation for this forum... but the total package makes daily visits a must... keep it like it is...

Yeah, what Jim said. Plus, if you make this a "car talk only" forum, then those of us who don't own birds (yet!) won't be able to play. What do you mean, "That's a good thing!" Who said that?! Must be the voices in my head. I better go over the "Test" thread and participate in the drug testing that's going on over there.

Not sure which Jaguar forum you are talking about, but I usually frequent Jagtalk, in fact, I designed the entry page and banner for Steve. Well, if that is the forum you are talking about, it also has more than just car talk, in fact, I have seen posts for other vehicle makes that Jaguar owners own.

Now, I own both a Jag and T-Bird, so I have 2 forums to go to, and I think they are both superb. Real fun, plus, full of nice & knowledgeable folks....Leave it has is! Please!!

Going strictly Thunderbird car related topics would be like taking a dagger to someone. There isn't much left to say about this car and if topics were to deminish to Tbird only, then it's doomsday for TBN. IMHO.

It is a forum of people, who enjoy Thunderbirds.

Ray has made this just too simple a choice. TBN is not only about the car but about the people also. You can talk about just about anything, but what Ray is really getting down to is allowing politics on the site and I am against that. It has no place on TBN. Ray, don't know what happened over the past few months but you have gone off the deep end my friend.
