          New T-Bird is great.

so far, I see that we tend to like the "new bird" or "new tbird" but what will happen to that nickname when Ford decides to bring back the name on another design?

              Dot,
When talking about my Birds or answering questions I usually refer to them as New Birds so I guess New T-Birds is on the same idea.
Oh yea, and while we are at it they are it(s) not he(s) or she(s).

Most of the time, (take notice Bruce) SHE is called "BEAUTY". Other times "T-BIRD".

Dot, good point about a new bird after ours being called the 'new bird'...
And the bird that is yet to come will be 'retro' as well.
This doesn't have a good "ring" to it, but placing it on a timeline would be something like "millennium bird".
                    Yeah, I get my vote.

Most all of the time she is "LADYBIRD", those few other times "T-Bird" or "Retro". (I have actually had people say to me: "What does retro mean?").

I'm sensing a "high maintenance" theme here....dates, birds. You, my friend, sound like a glutton for punishment.

I just call 'em birds 'cuz they're so pretty when they're "N FLYT"

I would guess that whatever the next generation of Thunderbird looks like will play strongly into it's nickname. If it continues to follow the Thunderbird tradition and be unique in styling it may carry a flattering nickname. If it ends up being a cookie cutter clone type model then it may be labeled with an undesirable nickname.

Tell them when you "redo" something you do it again. So this obviously means to "tro" again.
