To other people we refer to it as the New Bird but between Judy and myself we just call it The Bird !!

TBird or Thunderbird works for me.
            I never say RetroBird.

I always refer to it as my/the 'lil car'. My other 'daily driver' is an 05 Excurision, so the titile fits perfectly.

Re: It's all in the NickName

"Thunderbird" or "T-Bird" still works for me. "Newbird" will only go so far, as others have pointed out. Regardless of whether Thunderbirds are ever made again (knock on wood), there will come a time when, strictly speaking, our birds are not really "new."

"Retro" also doesn't work for me. Sure, our birds borrow styling elements from some of their oldest kin. But class is class, old or new. Plus, there's only so much "retro" in the mix. There's also a ton of modern in our birds; in the styling as well as in all other aspects.

To me, it boils down to this: When someone says to you, "Wow... nice car! What is it?" How do you answer? I say, "It's a Thunderbird!"

                            Cheers,
