      Re: Passenger Side Airbag

Has anyone discovered whether the passenger seat side-impact bag is shut off when the dash air bag is also shut off?
It's hard to soar with T-Birds when you drive amongst turkeys!

                  Re: Passenger Side Airbag

I would like to add one thing. My wife Janice would be dead if she wasn't wearing her seat belt. Now to think of it most likely I too would be gone if I had not worn my seat belt. It was a combination of both seat belt and the air bags
that saved us. It is your option to have the seat belt and/or the passenger airbag. However I know this group would hate to hear of any of our group or anyone else being killed because they didn't want the airbag.

Always on.........for the life of me, why don't they have it automatic? My Jag has a sensor that detects the proper weight, and shuts it off...a little yellow light lights up in the dash......why ruin the dash with a stupid On/Off key switch??? My Jag had the same MSRP as my Bird............

Maybe it has something to do with the price of the car. Jag convertible--sort of like the Tbird--is about $70K versus the Tbird about $40K MSRP.
