Re: Mileage on your Bird (2007)

3000 ON OUR 02. It was a garage queen before we got it with only 1500. 1000 miles last week going to Yellowstone and around. It was a ball. We feel 20 years younger.

Greg, You are 1/2 of the way between Charleston, SC and Motown Thunder. I am driving up to Charleston, WV on the 23rd, and then on to Troy, MI for the event. I've never seen an Inca Gold TBird in person, but if you're anywhere near Charleston, WV on the evening of June 23rd, I'd like to meet you and see your car. My cell phone is 843-345-0215 give me a call on June 23rd and we'll meet if you're in town.

Closing in on 40,000, on my '04 which I bought in '05. It's so amazing to me. I know the 80 miles a day is doing it, but to know me is to know that before this car, I was scared of driving, even to and from work which at that time was 16 miles roundtrip and look at me now. Conquered my fears and the only thing keeping me off the roads for extra trips these days is the high cost of fuel. I just love this little car!

Just turned 29,000 today after 5 years and 7 months of ownership during the return leg of a 1555 mile trip to Cincinnati. It's been smooth sailing all the way. I'll get to put a couple of thousand plus more on her in a couple of weeks when we head to Motown.

Harry - my 1993 Taurus SHO has about 98K. Have you ever attended a national SHO Convention? If not check out www.shoclub.com and consider it sometime. Have you had your cams welded on your SHO?

Tahoe II put my Bird over the 9,000 mile mark. That's in just over two years. Maybe not a lot of miles, but a bunch of smiles for sure!

Yep, now I know exactly who you are, Harry! I'm just terrible with names away from faces and familiar surroundings! Glad you have started posting here. Are you going to the convention this year and if so will you be bringing the T-bird or the SHO to Kalamazoo? I'll be hitting Michigan soil twice within a month of each other with Motown Thunder in June and the SHO Convention in July. Rosetta will only be able to come to Motown.

Paul--We will be going to Kalamazoo and I will bring the T-Bird. Although the SHO still runs quite well, I have never changed the coolant hoses and am therfore a bit apprehensive about a road trip with that car, also i have about used up the second transmission-- I would join you all in Dearborn but my daughter gets married on the 23 and things are just too hectic to make that trip--I may detour there from Kalamazoo as I thoroughly enjoy the Ford museum
hope to see you in Kalamazoo
