I thought I might be one of the youngest (34) but now I know I am not.
I think choosing such a car needs (besides money) having style and taste. Many youngsters do not have that. But this is exactly what you demonstrate with driving that car.

People will always give a good feedback. This car is just beautiful and stylish. So more cool than anything.

Sometimes I drive my new 2nd car, a Dodge Magnum SRT8. Of course it is fun and this car impresses people a lot. But it is not that much understanding than driving the T-Bird.

So Jens what does that say about a person who owns two Birds?

Wow, there are members with more than one Bird? That's what's cool about this site, you learn something new everyday.

Instead of getting another Bird at $25K, I think I'll get 10 Tata's:

India readies world's cheapest car: $2,467

Tata Motors touts 'out-of-the-box solutions' that slash development and production costs. But competitors are skeptical about the car's price and quality.

Tata Motors (TTM, news, msgs) is set to unveil the world's cheapest car as early as January as it takes the growing interest in low-cost vehicles to a new extreme.

The Indian automaker will launch its $2,467 vehicle by the third quarter of 2008 and may unveil it at January's Auto Expo in New Delhi, Managing Director Ravi Kant said.

Yeah, but customer services representatives will be in the Bronx with the backup facility in New Jersey! No one will understand them.

Based on what Jens wrote one might think that person would have twice as much style and taste, but then we know Bruce has two T-Birds and that shoots that theory to hell.....

Are you sure they didn't say you remind them of a NASCAR Pit?

Joe166, your reply cracked me up. It reminds me of a cartoon with two dogs, one sitting on the floor and the other at a desktop computer. The dog at the keyboard is answering the other dog's question with, "on the internet they don't know we're dogs."

                    Re: T-bird owner demographics

52 for me. This is my 3rd Bird. My son and I saw the yellow prototype at the Detroit Auto Show, and I told him then I would have one if ever possible. The first was a Torch Red 02 Premium with full red accent group. I loved from the minute it arrived. It was a leftover in Michigan in the summer of 03. I got a great deal, and they brought it to me.

Kept the car for about 18 months, sold it for a profit and purchased an identical 05. Unfortunately, a career change loomed and the bird was a luxury that I didn't need. Once settled in the new job, I found a left over 03 black with black accent leftover in the Bronx. My wife and I flew out, and drove it back. Now, that company is about to fold, so once again I will find myself without a bird - at least for a while.

These are great cars that do not get the respect they deserve. They look, handle, and drive great.

Wow. Same story for me! My son and I saw the prototype at the DC car show and I told him one day I would own that car. It took me longer. I read somewhere that 05 would be the last production year and I went out and bought one within the week.

46 ain't old! All you young pups, just wait till you hit 65! Then you get a nice little Medicare card from Uncle Sam! Remember when all we wanted was to hit 21? Am I the only one who remembers Nickel-Cokes from the little Red machines? That was about the time the first Thunderbird came out! Now those were the good old days! Jim, (older than dirt)

Why does this thread keep appearing as current? Jerry made that last post on 6/21 at 10:45 p.m. - nearly one week ago. Yet, the thread keeps showing up in the "new" posts. Today is 6/28, and the post above (#57) is now listed (once again) as "Today, 1:02 p.m." ???

If someone votes, the thread will move to the top. That person could just vote and not make a post.
