PR Move for FORD

Does anyone remember how GM supplied all the Apollo astronauts with '68 Corvettes? (referenced in a scene in the movie "Apollo 13" and obviously tied to the supply of the LUNAR ROVER)

WOULD IT NOT BE SMART for the FORD motor company to show support and national PRIDE by supplying new THUNDERBIRDS to the SPACE SHUTTLE CREWS fron here on out?

I would definately consider supporting a company that supported what is best about the USA....OUR willingness to look the challenge of discovery in the eye and go forward against all the odds!!!

?? If it would have that much impact anymore. The space
program isn't as fascinating as during the Apollo days.

If the last mission hadn't ended in disaster doubt many
would have known it was even going on. Now the
next will be watched but once they are back on track
will be just another launch.

As far as the military, don't they already have special
buying programs through the bases or they use too.
