Re: Age of the 2nd, 3rd .....owners

OK, seeing the poll results, most of the people are 55 years old and above.

If you would like to see your portrait of your life, just to watch the mini-video below.
The song is in French. No matter, you will understand the meaning of this video, I mean,
your life. Just to play it one more time. Coke , yes Coke bought the rights of this song.

Just to provide to me your feedback.

    Thanks,
    Alain

It might not be an age related item, but more a function of means. This is my third car and its strictly for the Summer's here in Chicago. I've always thought this retro bird was beautiful, but driving it is even better. It still turns many heads. However, going back to the original point, I do not have a single friend in my age bracket who has 3 cars between him and his wife.

I am 30, and have had my '04 for about a year now. After seeing one, I sought it out. It is true that the size can be a hassle..anything more than some light grocery shopping and it is too small. I drive it as my primary behicle. I love that it is the best of both worlds: a fairly new car that looks like a classic. I have had to respond to a service bulletin or two, but I can't take it out without getting compliments from everyone- including the kids at the Starbucks who drive, but are younger than me. My BMW X3 never got that kind of response...

I have heard comments about cost, but I bought mine for $17K...a new car of nearly any kind would cost that, so this was not an issue. The weather in NC does cooperate for having this as a primary vehicle versus living other places.

I think we live in a time where kids don't buy their first cars...their parents do. I didn't have those parents :) This may change what vehicles they get. That, and premium gas can sem overboard if you are in school or working a non-career job.

But at 30, I have a career job, and a Thunderbird, and I couldn't be happier...it does need a name though- any suggestions?
