Probably the old 80/20 rule.

80% of the owners look at their car as a car and will get bored and replace them without a thought. [E-bay]
They are not the owners here that would answer your poll.

The other 20% are the Tbird nuts that belong to our group, so you will not get a valid overall result just questioning this group.

I also chose other. My main reason to get rid of it would be the difficulty finding parts. That would definitely kill it for me. As it stands, I can't see me selling it for any other reason. I still get as much enjoyment everytime take it out as I did when I first purchased it.

The only reason I'd part with her is if I just got fed up with Ford's inability to correct problems pointed out to them in the last 7 years of ownership...and to date, Ford's not been very good at knowing their product.

This would be a major reason for me to get rid of the Tbird. If parts are not available or hard to get, I'm not going to have the car undriveable for weeks while waiting or searching for a parts.

When the repairs become an issue and also because there are still cars I would like to own . like a Jag Xk, a Mercedes roadster and a Corvette all of the gently used variety.

Funny - my thoughts exactly. While our 2003 tends to be a GQ, my wife mentioned recently that if something happened to me, she would drive it a lot and not get rid of it (the other car is a 2007 Vue, the 'practical' car) anytime soon. BTW, we moved from Indiana to Georgia last month so I guess the hard top won't get much use. We are in a fairly small town in central Georgia, and I have yet to see another retrobird.
