The trunk rack does serve a real function. I would disagree with Joe, not the part about it's your car and you can do whatever you want but just because you can doesn't mean you should. I really hate seeing a basicly nice car turned into a clownmoble.

'Should' is in the eyes of the beholder: You make the payment, you pay the taxes, you have the right to do whatever you want; that includes putting a fiberglass head of Bubble, Sparkle, Giggle, Daisy, Twinkle, Rainbow, Happy, Jingle, Candy or John Wayne Gacy for that matter glued to the hardtop.

Clowns give me the creeps BTW.

My Moms says when I was a toddler I screamed in terror everytime I saw one at a party or in a parade, etc. JM2C.

I think a little more thought and testing should've been done before the rack was put on the market. Couple reasons I didn't buy it was, one it wouldn't store in the trunk and I didn't like how it was secured to the trunk lid and as it's turned out there has been some problems reported. I do see where it would come in handy with luggage to and from the airport. Leroy

I keep the trunk rack on the car and like the way it looks, it adds to the retro look.

What’s the deal with the removable trunk rack for the 2002-2005 T-bird?

I’ve seen them in the past, but can’t seem to find one now.
