Is there any color that better shows a beautiful wax job? Or shines? Or reflects? Or never gets old?
Nope.

Yeah, but when it's clean.........Besides, look at all the fun you have cleaning it constantly?
I very rarely have to clean my Light Tundra bMetallic (PCR green) LS.
It always seems to look the same.
I had a white 89 TownCar. It was one PITA cleaning the gray vertical rainstreaks. Looked at a used 2010 Explorer the other day on a dealer lot. Same streaks.
Maybe paint was bad back in 89, but the car needed a light polishing compounding every few years.
Not so with my black 85 TurboCoupe.
But, at night, that white TC looked great.

Black never worked very well for me as an every-day driver. I had a couple of company cars that were black, and they showed every imperfection, dent, scratch (even scratches where somebody brushed against them when they were dirty), even markings from the brushes left by car washes. I took care of these cars like they were my personal ones but no luck. They looked pretty worn at 2 years/60,000 miles when they were done where other colors stood up much better. I never wanted to let my wife have a black car as long as it was going to be an everyday driver to and from work etc. I really like a black car - for my "garage queens".

If there is a next one for us it will be one of the blues if not a Merlot. They are Barb's favorite retro Bird colors.

My favorite shade of blue is mid 60's Stingray, Nassau Blue (with matching interior).
I would have bought that color (over my black/saddle) in a heartbeat.

When they first came out I told Judy we were getting one. She ask what color? I said either red or yellow and she wasn't crazy about that idea. After they came out with the Thunderbird Blue, the last color brought out, we both said that's the one.
Not surprising........ I suspect there is a good reason they decided to call it "thunderbrd blue"........
The other accent colors in the car (Gage needles and emblems) all seem to match up best with the color blue and this shade in particular.
If Henry Ford's vision of all cars coming in just one color had managed to survive this is the color all T-Birds probably would have been delivered with.
