When I think of all the cars that we have owned over the years, I need to think of them as "threads" so I can keep them straight. Sort of like in the Bible, so and so begat so and so who begat so and so... You get the idea.... Anyway right now, we have 5 vehicles parked in the garage.

The kids want to know, how many we have owned over the years. To avoid cluttering up this thread, I will start another thread.

Red: That's cheating. Those were all Ford plan cars. You were almost forced to buy new cars every year. Nice list though.

Some people on this forum obviously have a lot of money..........and then there are people like us.

David, you are correct. As a manager, I got insurance and maintence provided, but I paid a monthly lease fee (usually 1/60 of A-Plan price).

We would have several turns in a year and special bonus vehicles if the plants needed volume on a particluar vehicle, The kids were spoiled - driving Mustangs, Continentals, Scorpios, Thunderbirds, etc. to High School. They still want a new car every 6 months.

The requirements included continual evaluation of the vehicles. We rated just about everything to provide feedback to the design and engineering teams. Somebody had to do it - why not me?
