No, Alain, The benefits far outweigh the risks of owning such a special automobile. If I didn't have that view, I might as well buy a Kia.

I agree with Mark, Alain. I wouldn't sell mine just because spare parts became difficult to find.

There are many cars, not all of them older 'classics' that are harder to find parts for than the Retro. And I seriously doubt parts will ever become impossible to find. In fact, I think that many parts may be easier to find as these cars get older because as is the case with the 1955-57 Thunderbirds, aftermarket vendors and specialty suppliers will see a good potential market and produce reproduction parts. In the meantime there is still a pretty good supply of parts at supply houses and salvage yards.

A car worth owning for the long haul is worth the possible trouble in finding parts down the road.

I just had a FE Module refurbished for $125, works fine. I have now found a source that will refurbish any module, cluster, and etc. for $99. Stop worrying about parts and just enjoy the car or sell if you want.

Thanks Phil. One of our member sold his car because of that.

I just want to know the view or comments from the others members.

Once again, thanks for your comment Phil.

Alain, is this bothering you enough that you want to sell your car? I would like to know.

Ron, please provide any details for the others members where you got your
                refurbished FEM. Details are required.

Whatever indeed. I'm just saying if you have a perceived belief that parts are/will be unavailable for this special car, and that keeps you awake at night, just sell it.

Mark, you are with Ron as I can see. Do not be fooled by appearances. I love people's perception...

Good stuff. Ron and I like our Thunderbirds... And maybe some more members too as your poll may show. Hooray.

Mark, just buying a Sonic from Chevrolet, you will notice the difference by seeing the many recalls from Chevrolet this year compare to Kia and for others GM models... I am proud that you are willing to buy a Kia.

For me and I think for most of us here, it is about the car and the joy of owning and driving it. If I have to chase a few parts, then so be it. It's well worth the effort.
