Me too, what Funx3 said. In fact lately it happens a lot around then. Also at 11pm, but not as bad as it used to. Why is this on such a regular basis?

I would bet the nightly disruption is due to scheduled server maintenance, it may even be rebooting at that time every night. When I tried to get in this afternoon, I kept getting a message that said there was a database problem. Modern technology, huh!

Here is the message I get periodically when trying to connect using a T1 and MSN.

We connect multiple machines via DSL through a router.

I have been having intermittent connectivity issues with TBN in the evenings (couldn't locate web page). However, I have found that if I try another website I also can not connect to that either. Last night when it happened, I tried one of the other Internet enabled computers and was able to connect just fine. Tried my computer again but to no avail. Tried it again a few minutes later and it worked just fine. Interestingly enough, I was still connected to one of my clients all along on the VPN connection and e-mail was working just fine, so it was just an Internet Explorer issue. I even stopped and restarted IE and that didn't help either -- it just started working again.

So where was the problem? God only knows. I went ahead and rebooted the computer just to be safe even though I could now get to the web site. One of my clients says that at least 60% of the problems that users call with may be solved by simply rebooting the machine. Something to try again when you have a connectivity issue.

The previous evening, the problem was reversed. THe other machines were having intermittent problems and I was working just fine.
