i think they should be brushed stainless...........
It doesn't sound like a good idea to me. The top will wear and the worn spots will be shinny - seems it would be better if the strips were polished.

Have we bugged Paul enough? I keep meaning to call but I wind up getting side tracked by a million other things during the day. If it will still help I'll try to call today 1/21.

Or you can email him at the address below. I would think that every contact would count considering the Polls conducted at TBN where only a very small percentage vote. To make Paul and his company interested will take numbers that make sense to produce.

I e-mailed Paul Harris yesterday and received a very prompt and polite reply. I am anxious to see what these ss strips will look like, fit, and durability.

            IMPORTANT INFO:
I just spoke with Paul and he is very aware of TBN and our request for the SS Strips. He said that they are working diligently with their manufacturer and will post information for us when the strips become available.
He said he has received a number of phone calls as well as emails and that he was un-happy that he could not give us any more details then the fact that they are working with the manufacturer at this time.
            He definitely understands our need.
He is very familiar with the TBN web site and reiterated that it will be posted for us when the parts are available.
I told him that I would post this information and hopefully it would reduce some of the calls he is getting. He was very appreciative when I said that.
He also noted there are other items on their site, APADCO.com for rocker panels and the mid door strips, from porthole strip to the rear fender, for sale.
So, let's give him a break and be patient a while longer.
            Thanks for listening,
            MATBird

MATBird - thanks, thought so sort of figured it's probably best to let him get to work on the things that put up with a bunch of crazies calling him.

Look at this Continental Kit for our Thunderbirds:

I don't like the way this looks as is. Maybe if there was a chrome accent on top of the wheel, and a Bird emblem like the one on the trunk on the back of the wheel, it might look better. (More like the kit looked on the 56 and 57 Birds). But, I wouldn't put it on my car.

It looks like something that should be surgically removed!

                      Continental Kit?

                      Is that from Kustomotive?

I have to agree. I don't like the way it obscures the back end so much and looks like a plastic add-on.

I know a lot of our cars IS plastic, but this just has more of the look of plastic than anything already on our cars.

Not only does it look like it would have to be surgically removed by a proctologist, it looks like a "plastic surgeon" put it on, with a shot of Botox in the buttocks!

Michael Jackson's nose almost looks better than that!
It's hard to soar with T-Birds when you drive amongst turkeys!

Add a couple of circles on the tire carrier and the back end of the bird will look like a pigs face.

I'm sorry but no amount of chrome, logos, trim, flashing lights or other manner of diversion will help. This is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. It destroys the subtle lines of an otherwise beautiful car.
