I was driving around town today and I saw a couple of other convertibles with the tops down. (nice day about 80 and not a cloud in the sky). But I saw some with the windows up and some with the windows down. I drive with the windows down when the I'm topless, what about you, and why would you have the windows up?

I do both. But sometimes at higher speeds its less windy inside the car if the windows are up. Also if its a cool day and I need the heater on with the windows up it seem to stay a little warmer in the car.
However, if it is a prestine day and we are driving the back roads in the country then the windows are down and we take in all of the outdoors.

By the way, I voted for both up and down and the poll above took both.

I've wondered about this for some time. On the metropolitan freeway going 70~80 it can get extremely noisy in the car with the top down. Very unpleasant. I wondered if it was too uncool to roll up the windows. I finally have my answer... it's OK.

If it's summer and a nice hot day, the windows are definitely down. But since I drive year round in the Seattle area with the top down (only taking it out on clear dry days), it gets a bit chilly. So in the winter and later at night, I roll the windows up, turn the heat up to 90 and get the butt warmer going with my down jacket on and hood up!

Mostly windows down, except long expressway driving (fast), or cool evenings when the windows do improve warmth. Michigan evenings can get cool and damp fast!

In this weather, windows up - always. I imagine that if I take the top off this summer I will have the windows down when I drive. Convertibles with tops down and windows up look very strange to me.

What top and windows? My top and windows have been down since late May of 2002. I know chances are I will have to put them up at some time on my trip to the ford nationals. Sure hope they still work.

I'm an "in between-er". I've noticed that at freeway speeds (70mph+), having the passenger side window all the way up and the drivers side window all the way down causes a lot less wind turbulance for the driver. I can keep my hat on with no problem. This set-up causes more turbulance for a passenger, however, but when I'm alone in the car, that's my preference.

Last day at Desert Thunder today I tried the WINDBLOCKER I picked up this winter. Well needless to say my wife sure does like it! With the windows up there was very slight to no turbulence and with windows down it was minimal.

We're squarely in the "it depends" category though I voted for "up". I guess because we just had the top off for the first time this weekend and almost all of it was with windows up on the highway.

Around town at lower speeds it is windows down -- much cooler look.

On the highway it is windows up. It does cut down a bit on the wind in the cabin and actually helps some with noise, too.

Every once in a while we get out of synch and will have one up and one down. That changes the airflow considerably and puts the one next to the "up" window in a whirlwind.
