You could call always him "UT" for the University of Texas, but he just looks like a "Chester" to me! We have a cat the same color and we named him "UT" for the University of Tennessee (UT), but, of course, UT's colors are orange and white!
If you're not aware, we are seriously into kitties. lol We're currently at 15, all of which were rescued except one. Last fall we rescued 3 babies from a local farm after they were born in an attic durring the hot summer months. They had to cut them out of the ceiling to save them, and the mother promptly abandoned them. They were about two weeks old (or less) when they were discovered, and ended up fighting for their food in the yard with the rest of the cats. We took all 3 of them, and two have survived.
The two survivors are a completely white female, and a short haired orange/white mix fem. We named the orange one 'O-Rang-Gee', which is a bastardization of the word 'orange'. Some weeks later, we were at the local shelter and this little orange/white male simply would not leave Kyphi alone. So... we adopted him as well. Since we had 'O-Rang-Gee", we decided that 'Tang' would be appropriate. So now we have O-Rang-Gee and Tang!
Anyway.. your little baby looks just like Tang... Tang is a noble name and a lot of fun to say as well! So there you have your name!
Congratulations!!! He is adorable. We voted for Nemo but like Mark501 said he has a name or names that you have not discovered yet. I definitely know you don't want to call him Squirt. You'll figure that out when you feed him something that doesn’t agree with him.
AZT442,
15 WOW!!!! We have five and my parents have three. All strays that adopted us. They can be a handful at times but wouldn't trade them for the world.
Our's was adopted too, sixteen years ago, and looked like Jag too. We named her, BUT, after sixteen years, no matter what we call her, she looks us straight in the eye and Purrs "Yeah What, I'll get there when I'm ready":
