      Karen,
I know, I know. Fortunately this was at one of the very high end restaurants in Atlanta so instead of a teenager he was probablya drunk 20 something. We both survived without incident.

I trust a valet over the guys (mechanics) who drive our Birds in and out of service bays and then sandwich park them in door ding land for hours or days.

I drive my Tbird almost every day. I have a little over 8000 miles, just had third oil change.

I just got a VCR tape of '55-'66 TBIRD TV commercials, and I now know where "Unique in All The World" came from. Very cool!

Okay, OlDave drives "MY CAR", 98% of the time. I prefer my F150 Ford Truck. It is much easier for me to get into and out of with my medical problems, but I do like riding in HER. I also like the stares where ever we go. And also the compliments from strangers. Lets face it.... THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A TBIRD!!!!!!!

Thank you Bruce, a car is an it, not a he or she.

I drive mine to work but since it's a 120 mile round trip, I trade off and take her car since she is retired. But as others have already mentioned she loves to drive the bird but is afraid of getting the first ding. My bird has 24K miles so far and all that has happened so far is a new windshield.

                    Dave,
Look at the color nothing would have the nerve to damage it.

Re: Poll for Male / Female TBird Drivers

You missed a category: Gay Males, like me. The T-Bird is a huge hit in Hollywood and California with the gay crowd. We tend to have no children, so the small trunk is no problem. And we love great design. And what better car to cruise down Highway 1.

Maybe it's not what Ford had in mind, but the Bird fits us to a "T".

Re: Poll for Male / Female TBird Drivers

But it still fits into either catergory. The topic is to see who drives the TBird ,more men or women. So, if you have a partner and they drive it more than the owner, then just put down the gender. It is such a beautiful car, that no matter who is behind the wheel, I think people are staring at the car, not the driver. And I am very sure it is a SUPER HEAD TURNER, in most every state. You are either male or female and the poll just wants to see who does the most driving of the car.
In my case, my husband bought the car for me........YEAH right......for Valentines day....but who drives it....him.
Thats okay with me, cause I would rather sit beside him and play all the TBird cd's and enjoy the smoooooth ride.

Since I am single (divorced), I 'm the one and only driver. I don't even like it when the mechanic at the garage has to drive it 50 feet!

This poll isn't even close. The males win overwhelmingly. I hope this helps those guys who were wondering after being questioned. Us gals always knew we were unique!

I am the sole driver of my T-bird. It was love at first sight when I saw the Desert Sky Blue. I'm not quite Susanne Summers, but do draw some attention with my baby blue bird -- it matches my eyes. Ha.
