Congratulations to the World Champion Boston Red Sox! You played great and deserved to win.

Sadly, for all New England fans, this Sunday is the week the rest of us have all been waiting for!

The Patriots win streak ends in Pittsburgh!

            George,
I have been watching the poll and it was very onesided until the Sox won game 1 and then game 2. We had a lot of latecomers jump on the bandwagon.

Bruce I noticed that. I guess some were on the fence.
Phil 'PK' I see you picked Boston in 6. At least we had your support. That's good, but now Pittsburg?
AND, TBIRDY still hasn't weighed in yet. You think she got arrested last night over the win?

They are probably still celebrating. Takes a long time to make up for 86 years of waiting to celebrate.

Re: Who's It Going To Be

I'm back and I am now coherent enough to type on the keyboard (please don't look at the posting time) this day after the greatest comeback in all sports history.

I had initially picked Sox in 7. After we won the 1st game with Wakefield (that was a real suprise to me), and then Schilling battled through in game 2, I thought that a sweep was possible. (as a Red Sox fan I could not verbalize that at the time in fear of the jinx--the same reason I had to wear the same Sox t-shirt and cap for the entire 5 days). But after Pedro came through in game 3, I put the broom on the car and drove down to the empty ballpark and met up with other broomers that were gathering there.

I'm glad that Manny got the MVP, but the unsung heros of the whole post season were Dave Roberts and Mike Timlen, who kept us in there as we were about to go down in flames to the Yankees.
