No surgery has been done yet. They will do a partial hip replacement. Lungs and heart has caused the surgery to be delayed until he gets better and can handle the surgery. Today he is in good spirits.

I didn't see this previously. Sorry to hear about this. It is painful to be sure as I broke my hip in 2010 after falling when I was helping my brother build a barn in Kingman, Arizona. Obviously I was a lot younger than Charlie as I was 47 at the time. My fracture was on the left side of my hip and my mobility and flexibility with my left leg has never been completely normal since even this many years after the surgery.
Hopefully, Charlie can get well enough that they can proceed with the surgery. My prayers for a good recovery.

This is Margaret. We want to say a big Thank You for all the prayers and thoughts. He is having surgery today to replace his hip. He will then be in ICU for a little while because of lungs and heart. I know he is looking forward to reading and posting on TBN again.

Here is the update and whole story. We were at the mini-storage when Charlie, SixPac, fell on Sunday afternoon. I called 911 to come get him since he could not get up. He broke his hip. After getting a room in the hospital, we found out he had Pneumonia. Also the right side of his heart does not pump like it should. Surgery was put off trying to get him stable enough to go into surgery. He had breathing treatments every two hours. After 4 days of tying on his back in the bed, all five doctors said he was ready. So Thursday, the Orthopaedic surgeon came in and said that they will do the surgery that day. Well, 4 that afternoon he come back in. No operating room until that night around 11 or 12. We and the Orthopaedic surgeon said no put it off until tomorrow. They want a full staff available for him after surgery. Thursday he went to surgery around 12 noon. The Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist came in. He said there was a chance that he would be make it through this due to lungs and heart. Charlie made it through surgery with a trach tube. He is in ICU on a ventilator and on Propofol to keep in quite. All fingers crossed and prayers, within the net two days they will bring him out of sleep and turn the ventilator down to see if he can breath on his on. If he can, he will stay in ICU a few day then go to a room. From there he would go to a rehab for the hip and finally home. Keep him in your prayers. I know he wants to be back on TBN as soon as he can.
