Gene, Hope things go well with the valve job. I think that's a pretty common operation now days. Happens a lot down here in the retirement village of Florida.
Good luck Gene.... They have the technology. They can rebuild you, make you stronger... Accounting for inflation, what is the 6 million dollar man worth these days?

Just tell them not to lave any wrenches in there and you wiil be fine. But, just in case, I will put in a good word with the Big Mechanic.

One of twenty two built like this
She was a good one. Sold 12/30/2014.
Replaced with 2013 Infiniti G37 Coupe.
A lot better car and even more exclusive, but doesn't have the Cachet the Thunderbird had. Adios, mi Amigo.
Gene,my neighbor had his done a few months ago and he's doing fine. Just like after my triple by-pass 6 weeks ago,I feel great now. Just got back to driving yesterday. Prayers coming your way.
Thank you for all of the prayers, good wishes and support. I'll try to keep you updated as well as I can. At least when you don't see me around much, you'll know why.
As Spence said, this is very common now. So much so that my surgeon does them pretty much full time. The plan calls for me to go in on Wednesday for a catheterization. This will check for any arterial blockages that may need a bypass during the surgery. I should be staying in the hospital for the valve replacement on Friday. After some more time in the shop, I'll head to either rehab or home. I haven't been feeling right for a few years now. Prior tests all came back normal so I attributed it to getting older. Doc says I'll probably be a new man afterwards. I'm looking forward to that.
All set to go in tomorrow. I'll update when I'm able.
Going to have any other mods done while in the shop?

Prayers for all. We'll be waiting to hear all is clear and you are ready to roll.

Looks like Wednesday was a catherization with the big valve job scheduled for tomorrow. Does Gene have somebody to post for him as I'm sure its going to be XX? days before he's up to banging the keyboard!
