    Re: Ken Clayton (ChromeDome)

I am sad to hear about Ken passing away, yet glad to have met both him and Mildred in person during one if the events. Two great persons and members of TBN that will be missed by many.

I first met Ken & Mildred at Borla II (Johnson City TN, 2012). After the day's activities were over, all the old folks had gone upstairs at The Carnegie. Bedtime comes early for some. But we 3 were downstairs at the hotel bar talking away & knocking 'em back. Fun-loving kids, those Claytons. I smile at my memory of them. R.I.P. ----Will

It is sad to hear of Kens passing, he was parked next to me at the drive in and we had a nice chat. RIP Ken, missed but not forgotten.

This is Ken's daughter Kim. I wanted yall to know how much he loved being a part of this group. I am so glad he had a great time a couple of weeks ago. His passing was peaceful. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Stubborn to the end, there will be no service.... I will honor his wish. He will be layed to rest by my mom on Tuesday at 3pm.

            R.I.P. dear Ken and Mildred

I was very blessed by getting to know this special couple. We were able to visit with Mildred in February of this year, just weeks before her passing. Only two weeks ago, we were very happy to see Ken and his niece Johnnie at our event in Johnson City. I believe Ken made a special effort to spend time with all his Thunderbird family, everyone loved him and he will be greatly missed. Knowing that he is hand in hand with Mildred can only bring a bittersweet smile to ones face. Loving prayers and thoughts to Ken and Mildred's family.

A Celebration of Life would be appropriate for Ken, a few short speeches, and memorable stories with a slide show of his TBirding days and some old photos. This is what I did for my brother at his favorite Pub with many old friends. Worked out to be a great party and reunion of old acquaintances.

I am very sad to hear the news about Ken. The TBN community is a little poorer for his passing but as others have said, he and Mildred are again united. I pray God's mercies and healing for his friends and family.

                          From PM,
As far as the "we", it has been that way with us for over 55 years. We were High School sweethearts and married shortly after graduation. (July 24, 1955) We are nearing our mid-seventies and our dedication to each other has never waned.
Ken was a class act; at least they are together again. He will be missed; best to his family.
